The Cabinet

The Middle Church in Manhattan's East Village was left as a facade after a fire, and this project aims to think about how to revitalize and transform a historic building, which is one of the most special and thought-provoking thinking in Manhattan.

The design aims to preserve the facade as much as possible and make it simple to maintain in the future. The design covers the entire church in glass, preserving the facade as much as possible while providing visitors with a better view.

In order to provide enough space for exhibitions, library, and office functions, the vertical stacking logic provides enough different spaces, and the distinction between private and public spaces again provides a different experience for the visitor.
